Olivewood Mortar & Pestle oak Its color is yellowMade by hand, olive wood mortars & pestles are ideal for crushing herbs and spices. The olive wood is an extremely hard surface that can sustain the force of grinding and mashing. These are generously sized, measuring approx. 3. 5" x 6". Olive wood is a nonporous wood, making it a great wood for use with food, as it doesn't retain germs or odor. Our olive wood products come from Tunisia, where the folks who run the company are originally from.
