Le Livre de Kells. Celte and a previously unpublished iconographyThis comprehensive study of the Book of Kells reproduces, in actual size, 80 of the most beautiful folios of this manuscript preserved in Dublin since the 17th century. A masterpiece of medieval illumination, it is a version of the four Gospels and a tribute to the genius of the Irish monks with their representations of Christ, the Virgin and the Evangelists, interspersed with animal figures.
