Eupatorium purpureum Ruby PP 31668 Puya green leaves as well as

green leaves as well as hundreds of 2"

but we expect that was due to too much moisture than to a lack of winter hardiness

What intrigued us about this population was that the plants were much shorter and wider than normal

There are few hostas even today that can rival the exquisite beauty of this hosta

Eupatorium purpureum Ruby PP 31668 Puya green leaves as well as(aka: Eupatorium FLOREUPRE1) Eupatorium 'Ruby' is a wonderful Ute Gebhardt selection of the North American native, Eupatorium purpureum. This compact, well branched dwarf has been excellent in our garden trials. The dark purple 2. 5' tall stems, topped with heads of rich magenta flowers, starting for us in early July (NC), make this a standout in the garden. Average to moist soils and full sun are best.
