Clumps of Hosta 'Ivory Queen' are topped with 2' tall spikes of light lavender flowers in late spring

It will perform quite well in part shade

you can't say the same for true lupines

but 3' tall is more typical

Agave bracteosa Octopussy 9a Clumps of Hosta 'Ivory Queen'(Paleoagave bracteosa) In 2008, we pulled a unique plant of the Northern Mexican Agave bracteosa from a seed grown crop at Arizona's Mountain States Nursery. Each rosette was dramatically larger than any form of Agave bracteosa we've seen. It's taken us 15 years to have enough of this slowly offsetting spineless century plant to finally share as a 2024 Plant Delights JLBG introduction.
