We anticipate mature clumps to reach a staggering 3" tall x 6" wide
but slowly spreading Asarum ichangense 'Silver Lining' has grown into a lovely 4" tall x 2' wide patch in 15 years
The clumps are adorned with terminal spikes of soft yellow tubular flowers that just top the foliage from late summer through fall
Trillium maculatum Dorchester Light Shade author of "Ferns for American(aka: Trillium maculatum A3SC 012) Trillium maculatum 'Dorchester' is our 2021 introduction of seed grown, flowering sized plants from a population in Dorchester County, SC. The 1' tall specimens are topped, starting for us around Valentine's Day with lovely mottled foliage and upright violet, spathulate petals. Trillium maculatum prefers an average to slightly moist soil for best performance.
